People tend to look at things from their own perspectives to determine what’s right and wrong. But there are at least two sides to every story, just as every aspect has its purpose. Putting ourselves in someone else’s shoes forces us to reevaluate our point of view. A monologue by a cell that’s considered malignant by all. EMBODIMENT STORYTELLING

In het kader van ‘Grenzeloos Tilburg 1914-1918’ produceerden studenten van de opleiding Art, Communication & Design (Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten) in samenwerking met de Bibliotheek Midden-Brabant, het Wereldpodium en het Stadsmuseum een documentaire. Hierin staan vluchtelingen van toen en nu centraal en wordt vooral de reis benadrukt die zij hebben meegemaakt. De documentaire vertelt over de afschuwelijke, gedwongen positie van de vluchteling. De studenten hopen dat kijkers zich bewust worden van het feit dat er nog altijd vluchtelingen zijn. En vooral dat zij nooit meer naar huis kunnen. Een onzekere toekomst die wij ons niet kunnen voorstellen.
In the context of "Boundless Tilburg 1914-1918", students from the Art, Communication & Design program (Fontys University of the Arts) produced a documentary in collaboration with the Midden-Brabant Library, the World Stage and the City Museum. Central to this are refugees from then and now and, in particular, the journey they have made is emphasized. The documentary tells about the hideous, forced position of the refugee. The students hope that viewers become aware of the fact that there are still refugees. And especially that they can never go home again. An uncertain future that we cannot imagine.
